Who am I?
I would have liked to tell you that I was born on a lost moor in Budapest, in an old mansion of dark bricks, where my inspiration would come from the gloomy and mysterious mountainous landscapes. My passion for art comes from my Aunt Odlava, a good fortune teller and witch. I started drawing by copying strange engravings from my witchcraft books.
But no. I am just a French guy born in the mid-80s and has been rocked by Disney, Japanese animations, comic-books and Back to the Future’s Hoverboard.
My work is a mixture of all these elements which I try to make graphic, elegant, colorful and fun.
I graduated from a school of design and quickly created my own universe through my character Hell Strawberry, influenced mainly by the Mexican Day of the Dead, combining perfectly glee and the macabre.
Since then, I was involved in many illustration projects including comic books, children’s books and exhibitions. Some of my projects were presented to the international comic book festivals of Angouleme(France), London and New York Comic Con.
I can not tell you more about me as I have to go to take my cup of rose tea, write my memoirs with black ink all while listening the sound of crows and “Let it Go”.
